Sheen’s show

Charlie Sheen wants the last laugh.

On the same night Ashton Kutcher takes over as star of “Two and a Half Men,” the wacky TV warlock plans to use a televised roast to begin the next chapter of his career.

“I feel like the rebuttal will be a real moment for him to set the record straight on his past and hit the reset button on his future,” says comic Jeffrey Ross, a close Sheen pal and producer of the show.

“I see these roasts often as a new beginning for people. Once you have gone through that gauntlet, you have a lot of good will from the audience to not only get the roasters, but also to set yourself up for your next move.”

Sheen — who recently signed on for a new series based on the movie “Anger Management” — will be scripting the monologue personally, Ross said.

The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen” tapes Saturday night in Los Angeles and will air Sept. 19 at 10 p.m..

Seth MacFarlane will serve as roast master. “Jackass” star Steve-O, TMZ boss Harvey Levin and former boxing champ Mike Tyson were among the first group of roasters announced by the network yesterday.

“We would love for Denise Richards [Sheen’s ex-wife] to be a part of this, too,” Comedy Central vice president of specials Jonas Larsen tells The Post.

“I would love to have someone from his personal life up there,” he says.

During an appearance on “The View” last month, Richards said she would likely decline to participate, but a source told “Access Hollywood”: “She’s interested. Denise has a terrific sense of humor.”

Additional roasters will be announced later this week.

Ross says there is already a “long line of people from Charlie’s past” — including several former co-stars — “that would love to get some comeuppance.”

“Two and a Half Men” producer Chuck Lorre was not invited to take part, Larsen says. “I think the relation ship between Warner Brothers and Charlie is just too sour for us to go down that path.”

Ross — who collaborated with Sheen on his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour last spring — says the actor expects things to get ugly on the dais.

“He is going to want it rough,” Ross says. “He is a masochist in a lot of ways.

“For me, it is like going into battle.

“I look at all of Sheen’s stuff. I hang up pictures of him around my house. I watch his movies. It is full roast mode. You have to bring your A-game.”
