Assemblyman William Boyland’s car window shot out as he drove son

Assemblyman William Boyland was driving with his seven-year-old son in his Brooklyn district tonight when his car’s back window was shot out, police sources said.

The pol said he heard three shots ring out as he was driving his Chevy Yukon around 6:15 p.m. on Sutter Avenue near Legion Street in Brownsville, the sources said.

Boyland and his son escaped the terrifying incident without injury.

Cops don’t believe he was targeted — but the investigation is ongoing.

“I asked him what happened and he said, ’somebody tried to shoot me through the window,’ ” witness Israel Narvaez said.

“The son looked like he was in shock. I asked if they wanted something to drink. The kid was obviously scared, I got him a soda.”

Cynthia Covington, 55, who’s friends with the Boyland family said: “It’s not even safe to walk out your door anymore.”

Boyland later said he and his son were doing “okay.”
