Feds tracking source of terror money

WASHINGTON — Federal investigators have launched an “intensive investigation” into the bank accounts and other financial records of Boston bomb brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, it was revealed yesterday.

“They’re doing an intensive investigation to find out the source of their funding,” said US Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), who was briefed by FBI and other officials.

“It certainly is suspicious that one of the brothers was unemployed and the other was a student . . . but they did seem to have more money than one would think,” she said.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was a stay-at-home dad — but could somehow afford to fly to Dagastan for a six-month visit.

Dzhokhar, 19, was a poor scholarship student who reportedly sold marijuana for pocket money.

The full Senate was briefed on the bomber probe by top officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry, Deputy Director of National Intelligence Robert Cardillo and Deputy FBI Director Sean Joyce.
