At least three people were injured when shards of glass came falling from a high-rise Midtown building, cops and authorities said.
A construction worker was doing renovations on the 18th floor of the West 57th Street building near Sixth Avenue around 8:40 a.m. Thursday when he accidentally shattered a window with a piece of equipment, said Tom Meara, battalion chief for the FDNY.
Two passers-by, a man and a woman, were rushed to Roosevelt Hospital for treatment, authorities said.
The construction worker also suffered injuries which were believed to be non-life-threatening. He was rushed to the same hospital.
The window weighed several hundred pounds.
