‘Bachelorette’ runner-up’s shocking sex confession

Warning: Contains spoilers

This season’s “The Bachelorette” has been a long, drawn-out eight weeks of petty competition, sappy dates and tearful goodbyes — but star Andi Dorfman finally made her decision on Monday night’s three-hour season finale, picking Josh Murray, 29.

But the feisty, 27-year-old Dorfman, an attorney, sure has a way of bringing out the creeps. In this case, the creepy guy in question is the season’s final reject: Nick Viall, the 33-year-old software sales executive who just couldn’t let go.

During the show’s live “After the Rose” telecast, a tearful Nick confronts Andi — asking her why she slept with him during the show in the “Bachelorette” Fantasy Suite if she didn’t love him. “If you weren’t in love with me . . . I’m just not sure why you made love with me, either,” Viall said.

A stunned, annoyed Andi says, “That’s below the belt . . . that’s something that should be private and kept private.” Show host Chris Harrison eventually steers the conversation back to other matters.

To recap Monday night’s season finale, after a romantic final date with Murray, during which the former pro baseball player gives her a specialized baseball card with her name listed as “Andi Murray” — yeah, he was that sure of himself — it was no turning back. On top of that, Murray has this amazing smile that just sucks you in, as most viewers would agree.

Their date — consisting of calling each other “babe” and non-stop snuggling on a cruise around the Dominican Republic — couldn’t have gone any better.

Nick’s date, on the other hand, is rather confusing. The couple go off-roading in the Dominican Republic. It’s obvious he has his guard up, and wants to make sure things are going to turn out in his favor. He tells Andi that he loves her and wants to get married, but it’s clear she does not share his feelings.

Another fail appears in Nick’s attempt to be sentimental. He gives Andi a necklace filled with a vial of sand from their beach date when he first expressed his love. Sand? Really?

While Josh is busy choosing his Neil Lane diamond, Andi meets Nick at his room to announce that his time is up. She tells him that she feels something isn’t right — or in other words, he just isn’t Josh. Then Harrison and ABC make some mystical weather agreement with Mother Nature, because the rain comes down, on cue and in unison with Nick’s tears.

Most of the reactions on Twitter after Monday night’s finale side with Nick. Viewers seem to think Andi’s approach was manipulative.

At the same time, some agreed that privacy should have been respected.

Harrison redirected attention to Andi and Josh, where they discussed marriage; babies and Grumpy Cat were oddly thrown into the mix. The secrets, the drama, the live audience reaction made “The Bachelorette” finale more exciting than ever.
