Man who killed wife brags ‘I won’ on Facebook before suicide

A jealous Pennsylvania husband bragged on Facebook how “I won” after slaughtering his wife in front of their two young children Thursday — then drove to Staten Island, where he took his own life.

“Had an argument. She was cheating on me. I won,” read Keith Belajonas’ chilling last Facebook post.

The 32-year-old gun nut sliced up wife Christina Belajonas, 28, in their squalid Drexel Hill, Pa., home before putting a bullet in her head at around 2:30 a.m., as Robert, 5, and Christopher, 4, looked on in horror, police said.

Armed with a semiautomatic pistol, Belajonas grabbed the two boys and took off in a Nissan Pathfinder bound for Staten Island. Witnesses told police they heard one of the traumatized kids cry out, “Is mommy dead?” according to Upper Darby Township Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.

Police found Christina Belajonas’s mutilated body slumped against a wall inside the filthy, blood-spattered apartment.

“The kids witnessed it. She was found with one gunshot wound to the head and multiple stab wounds throughout the body,” Chitwood said. “The place in my opinion is unfit for human habitation,” he continued. “It was just filthy, filthy dirty — I don’t know where the two little kids slept.”

Belajonas, a Staten Island native, drove nearly 100 miles as police tracked his cellphone, finally arriving at a CVS on Victory Boulevard where his brother, Kevin, works.

The madman ditched the boys with his sibling before robbing the store at gunpoint and making off with cash, beer and cigarettes, according to police.

Belajonas peeled out of the drugstore parking lot at around 6:30 a.m. before a civilian spotted his gray Pathfinder, which had been described in an earlier Amber Alert, and called police.

Officers from the 122nd Precinct spotted the vehicle and chased Belajonas to a dead end on Bartlett Avenue, NYPD officials said.

When the desperate killer got to the end of the street, the cops used their vehicle to box him in and called for backup.

Before the officers could approach his vehicle, Belajonas fatally shot himself in the head. Police said they found several empty beer cans inside the SUV.

The children appeared to be in good condition, but were taken to Richmond County Medical Center for evaluation, cops said.
