Assault charge vs. Jets’ Thomas

New York Jet linebacker Bryan Thomas was busted on assault charges after allegedly pushing his wife with a chair, punching and choking her, according to court documents.

Thomas, 33, was charged in the alleged attack on Halloween in Randolph, NJ, according to the documents, which were made public yesterday.

Cops also found pain pills and marijuana paraphernalia, according to the documents.

He was charged with weapons possession because of his alleged use of the chair.

Thomas applied for a “Pre-Trial Intervention” program for first offenders, in which charges are dismissed if he completes probation, a source said.

“We are aware of the report. This is a pending legal matter and we will reserve comment until the legal process has run its course,” said a spokesman for the team.
