In just a month, the Yankees’ odds to win the World Series have doubled, with Bovada listing the 27-time champions behind 13 other teams, having 50-1 odds to win the World Series. On Aug. 1, the Yankees were given 25-1 odds, which are now the team’s odds to win the AL pennant.
The Yankees are four games out of the second wild-card spot, trailing the Tigers and Mariners, while tied with the Indians.
On Aug. 1, the Mets were given 200-1 odds to win the World Series, but the sports book has now declared the team too far out and taken them off the board.
Things are much brighter in the the nation’s second biggest city: The Angels (5-1) and Dodgers (11-2) are listed as the two favorites to win the World Series.
