Boozy brunch spot’s neighbors vent to Community Board

Angry neighbors on Wednesday vented about a Flatiron District restaurant whose “bottomless brunch” results in drunken partiers puking and urinating on the surrounding streets.

“At Sunday brunch, they’re sloppy. On the weekends, it gets violent,” Ted Chapin, who lives across the street from Pranna at 79 Madison Ave., told a Community Board 5 committee deciding whether to back the eatery’s liquor-license renewal.

A recent video shot by another neighbor showed women tottering on high heels, stumbling and falling down drunk outside of the eatery, as well as men urinating in the streets.

The committee decided to delay its vote on whether to support the renewal with stipulations or recommend its denial to give the owners a chance to clean up their act. But the unlimited-booze brunch will have to go, members said.
