Man turns heaps of junk into Transformers

Autobots, assemble!

An innovative man in China has transformed a mountain of old junk into magnificent replicas of the popular Transformers.

Yao Fuxin has spent months in Heijan City sifting through old car parts and heaps of unwanted metal so he could recreate the robotic superheroes he has always admired, Central European News reports.

The remarkably realistic creations tower more than 10 feet in the air and can weight up to a ton.

“It was hard finding all the right parts but I didn’t want to make any compromises so I was very careful,” Fuxin said.

“I love the Transformers and Bumblebee is my favorite one of all.”

Fuxin draws inspiration from the popular Michael Bay movies that have been a hit with audiences around the world, especially in China.

“I’ve seen all the films and I worked with some official photographs and models for reference,” he told CEN.

The masterful handyman has even started piecing together the parts for his replica of the Autobots’ leader, Optimus Prime.

“He should be finished in a few months,” Fuxin said.

“I’d really love to make all of them.”
