Video will prove Times Square Spider-Man is innocent: lawyer

Surveillance video will prove the second Times Square Spider-Man busted for bad behavior – this one accused of groping a woman’s behind – is not a villain, his lawyer said Wednesday in court.

“My client believes there’s extensive NYPD surveillance at the location right in front of the H&M that proves he didn’t do what he’s accused of,” said Mousa Rabaoui’s defense attorney Rafit Harb.

Prosecutors told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Laurie Peterson they’d requested the footage from cops. Meanwhile they recommended Rabaoui serve six months in jail for the one count of forcible touching against him.

The 22-year-old was chased in full costume by uniformed cops through the Crossroads of the World June 21st.

He allegedly approached the woman from behind as she was walking to a bank, wrapped his arm around her neck, and grabbed her butt, according to law enforcement sources.

But his lawyer, who waived his appearance, said the alleged victim fabricated the incident.

“My client was discriminated against because he has an accent and the person may have had a problem with that and they had argument,” he said.

The bust comes just days after fellow Times Square Spider-Man Philip Williams, 36, was found not guilty of attempting to assault a 46-year-old mom in 2013.

“There was a case involving a Spider-Man a week before [this one] and I’m not sure if this is an attempt to regulate the industry but we’re investigating,” Harb added.

The allegedly frisky Spider-Man is stuck in jail on an immigration hold for overstaying his visa, according to court papers.

Rabaoui is due back in court July 16th.
