How to watch Sunday’s World Cup games

A rundown of the World Cup games Sunday:

Belgium vs. Russia

Noon, ABC
at Rio de Janeiro
Favorite: Belgium

Group H-leading Belgium can clinch the round of 16 with a win, but captain and defender Vincent Kompany is in question with a groin strain. Russian coach Fabio Capello still has to decide whether to pull keeper Igor Akinfeev, who let a long, harmless shot go right through his hands in the 1-1 tie with South Korea.

Algeria vs. South Korea

3 p.m., ABC
at Porto Alegre
Favorite: Algeria

Algeria will be favored despite blowing a lead and losing its opener 2-1 to Belgium. South Korea can pass and possess the ball, but must do a better job finishing than in its opening 1-1 draw with Russia, as winger Son Heung-min was particularly errant on two wide-open looks. South Korea — winless in the second game of eight previous World Cups — needs to win with favored Belgium looming.

United States vs. Portugal

6 p.m., ESPN
at Manaus
Favorite: Portugal

The U.S. has to play without Jozy Altidore, the only target striker on its roster. The Americans had trouble holding possession after his injury and can ill afford to turn the ball over against Portugal, because that will create counterattack opportunities for Cristiano Ronaldo, who will play despite a sore knee.
