Readers think McElroy gives Jets best chance

If it were up to Post readers, Greg McElroy would be the Jets’ starting quarterback Sunday against the Jaguars.

In an online poll asking the question of who should be the starter, McElroy received more than 57 percent of the votes, with Tim Tebow (even with fractured ribs) coming in second with around 38 percent and Mark Sanchez getting a paltry 5 percent. As of early last night, more than 38,000 readers had voted at nypost.com.

The poll started Sunday night, soon after Rex Ryan pulled Sanchez in third quarter for McElroy, who led the Jets to a touchdown drive in their 7-6 win over the Cardinals. Tebow was inactive due to his rib injury.
