The teen who fatally ran over 4-year-old Ariel Russo on the Upper West Side while fleeing cops last year was busted for looting a dead woman’s apartment, authorities said Friday.
Franklin Reyes, 18, was arrested Thursday for stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry, wine, shoes and cash from a West 21st Street building on June 5, according to the criminal complaint.
Reyes’ dad, Franklin Reyes Sr., is a superintendent at the building and also raided the dead lady’s pad, the complaint states.
Father and son were both charged with petit larceny.
The son is facing up to 15 years in prison on manslaughter and other charges for plowing into little Ariel and her grandmother Katia Gutierrez, 58, last summer as they were walking to the girl’s preschool.
