Weird Al week continues with ‘Royals’ parody

It’s day three of Weird Al Yankovic’s epic return to the spotlight, featuring eight new music videos of his parody songs from the new album “Mandatory Fun” in eight days.

Wednesday, Yankovic revealed his latest creation, a twist on Lorde’s “Royals” entitled “Foil.” What starts out as an ode to the proper preservation of leftovers quickly turns into a massive conspiracy theory.

On Tuesday, Yankovic tackled Robin Thicke’s ubiquitous summer 2013 hit, “Blurred Lines,” with “Word Crimes,” which lampooned the Internet’s penchant for destroying grammar.

Yankovic kicked off the week with “Tacky,” a parody of Pharrell’s “Happy,” all about the obnoxious things we do in modern society, like Instagramming all of our meals. Yankovic’s celeb pals Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black added some star power.
