Thrill-seekers at a New Jersey amusement park had to walk down a 230-foot-tall roller coaster after the ride lost power Friday afternoon, NBC New York reported.

Officials at the Great Adventure park in Jackson told the station the “hypercoaster” stopped as it was nearing the ride’s peak.

Nobody was hurt, but riders had to walk down access stairs next to the track in order to reach safety, the station said.

According to the park web site the three-minute ride, named “Nitro,” features “gut-munching horizontal loops, a crazy 540-degree helix spiral” with a top speed of 80 miles per hour.
