No arrests after 7 shot at Chicago laundromat

Chicago authorities are reporting seven people, including two teenagers, were shot at a laundromat in the city’s South Shore neighborhood.

The Chicago Fire Department reports four of the shooting victims were found Monday inside the laundry. Three victims were found on the street outside the business.

Fire department spokesman Larry Langford says a 14-year-old victim was found a block away from the shooting scene. He was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Comer’s Children Hospital. A 16-year-old was also wounded and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious to critical condition.

The other victims ranged in age from the 20s to the 50s. They were reported in good to critical condition and taken to other hospitals.

Police haven’t reported any arrests in the incident.
