Ousted chairman and chief executive officer of American Apparel Dov Charney was spotted in one of his former stores — violating the terms of his termination.
Pictures of the former founder, president and CEO of the T-shirt chain were posted to Instagram after he visited an American Apparel store on the Lower East Side.
Jen Snow, an employee at nearby Russ & Daughters, posted the pictures of the ex-CEO to her Instagram account Monday, showing Charney chatting with employees as he browsed through a collection of shoes.
Decked out in a flamboyant blue shirt, white pants and matching white shoes, Charney looks bewildered as Snow sneakily snaps his picture inside the retail store.
“Dov Charney is in the American Apparel store on East Houston Street,” Snow said in the photo caption.
“I asked the employees at the counter if it was him, and one nodded ‘yes’ tentatively, and the other asked me, ‘And how was your day at work?’ with an intonation of palpable discomfort.”
The sighting comes a month after Charney was fired for alleged misconduct.
