One of the biggest pieces of news in comic book movie history dropped yesterday: The movie featuring Batman and Superman finally has a name! And it’s called something awesome like “World’s Finest” or “Batman and Superman Go to White Castle,” right? No, the name for the Zack Snyder-helmed “Man of Steel” sequel/Batfleck debut is “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Oof.
The clunky title is crammed with so many different ideas (two superheroes and a teaser to the announced “Justice League” movie), and Bat-fans online have been none too pleased. Fears are rampant that Snyder will muck up the most awaited superhero movie pairing of all time.
So fans took to Twitter to make up their own title suggestions; even Comedy Central’s “@Midnight” made #BetterBatmanSuperman its hashtag game last night.
