It was already one of the year’s most anticipated movies, but now “Gone Girl” has gone and upped the ante with a special ingredient: a sunken-eyed Neil Patrick Harris.
In the new trailer for the upcoming mystery, based on the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn, audiences get their first look at Harris in character as Desi Collings, the ex-boyfriend of Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike), who has gone missing.
He’s a prime suspect in the eyes of Amy’s husband Nick (Ben Affleck), who just about everyone else thinks is guilty. Awkward.
“Gone Girl” hits theaters October 3.
