Cheap way to see Rangers? Fly to Los Angeles

Go west, Ranger fans! If you want to catch your beloved Blueshirts in person in the Stanley Cup finals, it’ll be cheaper jetting to LA and buying scalper tickets there than ponying up for Madison Square Garden games.

At one point Monday, a New Yorker could fly to and from Tinseltown for $538, then buy nosebleeds for Games 1 and 2 at Staples Center for $493 and $581, respectively.

While that would add up to a budget-busting, two-game, ticket-and-air total of $1,612, it paled to scalper rates here in Gotham.

The minimum price for LA Kings-Rangers tickets to Games 3 and 4 at MSG were $1,065 and $1,265, respectively, a total of $2,330, at one point on Monday.

So staying at home and watching two Stanley Cup finals games at MSG could cost a local Blueshirts fanatic $718 more than winging to the coast and paying La-La Land scalpers.

“If you have a friend with a couch in LA, it’d definitely be cheaper to go out there for Games 1 and 2,” said Chris Matcovich, vice president of data and communications at TiqIQ, which tracks secondary-market ticket sales.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals is set for Wednesday night in downtown LA, with Game 2 on Saturday night.

Games 3 and 4 are in New York on Monday and Wednesday of next week.
