The father of accused Brooklyn ripper Daniel St. Hubert said Friday his son should beg the families of his victims for forgiveness.
“Ask them to forgive you,” pleaded Albert St. Hubert, a 69-year-old retired bus driver from his home in Fort Lauderdale.
The elder St. Hubert – who left the family when his son was only 3 – said he was devastated when he learned that St. Hubert, 27, was charged with butchering two young children, killing one, and suspected in a stabbing and second homicide.
“In my heart, my mind, I almost die, believe me,” he said. “I can’t even cope with what he is.”
The anguished dad said he spoke to his son after his release from prison last month.
“When he came out of jail I spoke to him, and I said to my daughter Daniel is not good. Daniel has a problem. He was making noises, I couldn’t understand him,” he said.
“I feel very sad. My children not supposed to be this way,“ he said.
