The married Queens teacher on the rebound from an alleged affair with an underage student who jilted her for a prom date sounded like a lovesick schoolgirl in text messages she sent to a new 16-year-old fling.
“I can’t believe [name deleted] is going to the prom with [name deleted],” teacher Joy Morsi texted to the second boy, according to a source with knowledge of the text.
The boy replied with words of comfort, a source said, and the back-and-forth texts led to an alleged weekend romp in a basement office at Grover Cleveland HS in Ridgewood.
In the texts, Morsi and the boy arranged to meet at the closed school on Saturday, two days before Morsi was arrested for the alleged sex with the first student.
Prosecutors accused Morsi, 39, of having sex with the second student after flipping out over her boy toy’s decision to take a classmate to the prom.
Students said the prom date ratted out the gym teacher to her mother, who alerted authorities about the illicit affair.
Morsi, a mother of four, is married to a science teacher at the school, Hany Morsi, who is also a wrestling coach. The embarrassed husband accompanied Morsi to two arraignments this week, where she was hit with a slew of rape and child-endangerment charges.
Morsi has an apparent thing for communicating with electronic messages.
It was an e-mail message last year that launched Morsi’s alleged fling with the first student, a 16-year-old wrestler who needed Morsi’s help losing weight, prosecutors said.
Morsi’s e-mail allegedly asked if the student was a virgin, and he replied yes.
Their relationship escalated on June 5, 2013, when Morsi brought the teen into a closet in the school’s gym and exposed her breast to him, performed oral sex and had intercourse, according to court documents.
Prosecutors said the teacher and the wrestler had sex more than 20 times at the school in various places, including the basement and gymnasium.
Morsi took their sexual escapades outside to various deserted parking lots and sent him raunchy selfies of herself, officials said.
Prosecutors say the affair ended a few weeks ago, when Morsi got “jealous” over her young lover’s prom date. It’s not clear if the student and his date still went to the prom.
Morsi, who makes nearly $80,000, has been suspended with pay and reassigned.
Morsi is a tenured teacher and cannot be fired or stripped of her pay without due process, officials said.
Her husband would have to request a new assignment if he wanted to move from the school.
Students said Morsi has been teaching at the school for more than a decade.
