Brooklyn pot farm goes up in flames

His crop of weed went up in smoke!

A clumsy pot farmer accidentally set fire to his own Brooklyn grow house — creating a smoky scene straight out of a “Cheech and Chong” movie, cops said on Tuesday.

An extension cord powering botany lights set the massive stash ablaze at the home of grower Antonio Dow, 45, on Vanderbilt Avenue near Dean Street in Prospect Heights around 2:40 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

“I smoke pot all the time — and I still had no idea there was a pot farm in the basement,” a neighbor in the building said.

He added, “There was white smoke everywhere. It smelled like burning plastic. I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face.”

Firefighters who rushed to the scene found 40 to 50 marijuana plants on Sunday. Cops arrived later and arrested Dow, police sources said.

Neighbors and bar-goers at nearby Woodwork Brooklyn spotted cops carrying black plastic marijuana planters, a neighbor said.

“We just thought it was an electrical fire — but then cops rolled out crime tape. They started bringing out planters,” the neighbor said.

Dow was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Firefighters had to break a skylight on the third floor to let the smoke out, neighbors said.
