Dad at James Blake’s home seen buying fireworks

Top to bottom: Darrin Campbell and his two teenage children, Megan and Colin. The trio, along with mom Kim, had gunshot wounds in what may have been a murder-suicide.

A new surveillance video shows Darrin Campbell — one of the four wealthy family members found dead inside former tennis champ James Blake’s burning Florida home — purchasing $600 worth of fireworks just three days before the deadly house fire.

Campbell walked into the store around 9 a.m. Sunday, looking to do some “early Fourth of July shopping” with a half-off coupon, the Phantom Fireworks salesperson who helped him with the purchase told ABC Action News in Florida.

There was nothing unusual about the exchange: Campbell was “calm” and “like any other customer,” according to the store employee.

The surveillance video shows Campbell paying for two shopping carts’ worth of explosives and leaving the shop with the cashier, who pushed the second cart.

While Campbell’s purchase included aerial fireworks and gas cans, store manager Rocky DiRoma said the explosives were nothing out of the ordinary.

“These are typically used for any type of celebration or any type of holiday, event, birthday,” DiRoma said.

An autopsy determined that all four family members found inside the torched home had gunshot wounds. A handgun registered to Campbell was also discovered at the scene, and investigators are looking into the possibility of a murder-suicide.

Authorities believe the fire at James Blake’s home was intentionally set and said fireworks were found inside.AP
