Rob Ford never made it to rehab in Chicago

Where in the world is Mayor Rob Ford?

The crack-smoking Canadian never made it to rehab in Chicago and his whereabouts are still unknown, the Toronto Globe and Mail reported on Tuesday.

Ford flew to the Windy City on Thursday after announcing plans to check into a drug treatment center. But the pipe-loving politician turned around before passing border officials, sources told the paper.

“He voluntarily withdrew his application to enter the USA … He was not denied entry, per se,” said Roy Norton, a Canadian consul general in Chicago.

Norton declined to comment on why the Toronto mayor never made it into the US — but the abrupt travel plans raised questions about whether he had gone missing.

On Tuesday, his brother and his lawyer claimed Ford had checked into a rehab center. They both declined to say where.

“The bottom line is he’s in rehab, he’s getting rehab and he’ll be there for a number of weeks — and that’s the answer. It’s not like he’s at a baseball game in Los Angeles or something,” said his lawyer, Dennis Morris.

His brother Doug Ford added, “For the one-millionth time, Rob Ford is in a rehabilitation program.”

“He’s progressing, he’s doing well, he’s into the program … He tells me he’s going to come back a few pounds lighter, so that’s good,” his brother told the Toronto Star.

Another video allegedly showing the mayor smoking crack surfaced recently. Last year, he admitted to smoking crack “probably in a drunken stupor.”
