Free Passover assistant app created for Android and iPhone

Bubbe should have had it so easy.

A free cellphone app takes some of the schlep out of Passover — the most labor-intensive Jewish holiday of the year — by helping plan Seder meals, organizing the pre-Passover cleaning schedule, and even alerting users to the very moment they have to stop eating leavened bread.

“Passover Assistant,” for iPhones and Androids, even has a Seder planner that automatically creates a master shopping list of ingredients needed for the 150 gourmet holiday recipes included on the app.

“It’s like the Passover Swiss Army knife,” said creator Dov Dukes.

“We wanted to create an all-in-one app that would really alleviate the anxieties of preparing for and celebrating Passover.”

Passover begins Monday night.
