Babysitter facing murder charges in 4-year-old’s torture death

Manhattan prosecutors said Wednesday that they will pursue murder charges against the transgender babysitter accused of torturing to death a 4-year-old boy.

Earlier this month, the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that the death of little Myls Dobson — who was found emaciated and covered in bruises and burn marks Jan. 8 inside Kryzie King’s luxury Midtown apartment — was a homicide.

“The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that (Myls) died as a result of child abuse syndrome, including dehydration,” said Assistant District Attorney Nicole Blumberg in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday.

King, who has refused to appear in court before, showed up Wednesday in an oversized orange Department of Corrections jacket and dark glasses, her curly hair styled in a mohawk.

She’s due back in court June 4, when she could be arraigned if she is indicted by a grand jury on new murder charges, prosecutors said.

Her lawyer, Brian Konoski, declined comment.

King allegedly admitted to police she beat the boy because he was misbehaving and locked him outside on an 11th-floor terrace in his underwear for nearly an hour in the freezing cold.

King, an acquaintance of Myls’ father, Okee Wade — who is locked up in a New Jersey jail — was looking after the tot after his mother lost custody for abusing him.

“I just hope Myls is OK ’cause this li’l boy has been through a lot over the years,” King told cops before she knew he was dead. “Just want what best for him ’cause he a good child, just had the wrong mom and dad.”

King is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail in a male facility on Riker’s Island.
