Schneiderman announces charges in cocaine-ring bust

Authorities on Wednesday took down a massive cocaine ring allegedly run by a Washington Heights couple that flooded an upstate town with narcotics.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the indictment of eight alleged drug dealers — including a member of a prominent Wappingers Falls family.

Michael Novick, whose sister sits on the village’s Board of Trustees, was charged with buying drugs in the Wadsworth Avenue apartment of Robert Garcia and Adalgisa Hernandez to sell in his own community.
