Mislabeled wieners that could sicken or kill recalled by Oscar Mayer

Kraft Foods recalled about 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners because the packages may instead contain Classic Cheese Dogs – which could sicken or even kill people who are allergic to milk.

The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Sunday the products are not tainted, just mislabeled, with milk not listed as an ingredient.

The move was classified as a Class I recall – which means people with allergies could get sick or even die if they ate the wieners.
