Daredevil base jumper posts new death-defying video

The daredevil who parachuted from the new World Trade Center posted a video of his terrifying descent on the internet Monday, just in time for his next court date Tuesday.

A helmet cam worn by Marko Markovich captured the death-defying stunt after he and two other jumpers sneaked into the iconic building and hopped off in their parachutes on Sept. 30.

“There’s no question over what happened that night so there’s no reason to hide behind it,” Markovich’s lawyer, Timothy Parlatore, said about releasing the video.

The breath-taking clip shows the rapid descent from the 1,700 foot-high structure and eventual landing in a park in downtown Manhattan.

Two previous helmet cam videos were released on YouTube weeks ago.

Markovich and his co-jumpers, James Brady and Andrew Rossig, are set to be arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on charges of burglary and trespassing.

Their lawyer, Parlatore, said that the charges should be reduced from felonies and his clients have actually done a service by pointing out the lax security measure at the targeted site.

“My guys would love to their community service down at the Trade Center, pointing out the holes,” Parlatore said.

“One’s an iron worker and one’s a carpenter, so they could fix it themselves.”

Any proceeds from the YouTube clip will be donated to the families of the victims of 9/11, Parlatore said.
