Nickelodeon’s ‘Breadwinners’ takes first among kids

Nickelodeon’s new animated series, “Breadwinners,” finished first last week in kids 2-11 — among all animated and live-action shows — pulling in 1.7 million viewers in only its fourth week on the air. That bested veteran network stablemate “SpongeBob SquarePants” (1.6 million viewers), which finished third in viewers. Nick’s “Sam & Cat” (Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande), meanwhile, finished as the most-watched live-action show in kids 2-11 (1.5 million viewers).

Meanwhile, Day 1 of Weather Channel’s “AMHQ with Sam Champion” on Monday averaged 207,000 viewers, down 12 percent from the previous four-week timeslot average (7-10 a.m.), and ranked 80th among all cable shows that day, according to Nielsen. Among adults 25-54, it averaged 64,000 viewers — down 14 percent from the previous four-week average.

Last, but not least . . .

NBC filming its pilot, “Babylon Fields” (Meagan Good), at Brian Rosenberg’s Long Island club, Love (Carle Place) . . . Ricky Gervais is a wise man. Why? Because “This Is Spinal Tap” is his favorite movie. “It’s the funniest movie ever created and the biggest influence on my comedy,” Gervais tells People magazine (in its March 31 issue). “We’re never going to see a film as good as that” . . . “Today” show contributor and MSG Network’s Knicks reporter Jill Martin visits QVC on Friday (10 a.m.) to shill her “Jill Martin’s Minute Closet Makeover” . . . This Saturday on Ch. 7: Diana Williams hosts “Protect Our Children: Victims, Missing & Alone,” which features three tri-state-area youngsters who are missing — and their families, who are still hopeful they’ll find them . . . “Rogue” is back for Season 2 May 28 on DIRECTV (Thandie Newton, Cole Hauser).
