Steve Buscemi gets de Blasio’s jazz hands working

Mayor Bill de Blasio, preparing for his first “Inner Circle” performance, got some Broadway tips from veteran actor Steve Buscemi, who took credit for previous moan-inducing performances by city chief executives.

“Who do you think got Dinkins to sing, who do you think got Bloomberg to dance, who do you think got Rudy into that dress,” Buscemi told de Blasio in a promo video for Saturday’s show. “Come on, we got work to do.”

The annual “Inner Circle” charity fundraiser features New York media figures and the mayor doing schtick, song and dance to mock city government and other current newsmakers.

The video, released Monday morning, shows de Blasio and Buscemi dressed in matching sweatsuits, while Buscemi tries to get the mayor ready for the stage.

“Hand up, hands are always moving,” said Buscemi, showing the mayor how to do jazz hands.

He had de Blasio repeating “unique, New York, unique New York” over and over — no easy task.

De Blasio also tried his hand at ventriloquism, speaking through his dummy: “He eats pizza with a knife and fork, and they call me a dummy?”
