Perv busted after thwarted Lower East Side rape

A predator tried to rape a woman inside her Lower East Side apartment, cops said Thursday.

Hua Qin Ye, 28, allegedly attacked the woman after barging into her home on Henry Street near East Broadway, police said.

Ye rang the doorbell at the 51-year-old’s woman’s three-bedroom flat Wednesday at about 10:45 p.m. and pushed his way inside when she answered the door, sources said.

He then shoved her into a bedroom and tried to rip off her clothes, the sources said. The terrified victim screamed for help as she fought off the stranger, sources said.

One of her three roommates dialed 911 and cops rushed to the apartment.

Ye was taken away in handcuffs and admitted to Bellevue Hospital for psychological evaluation.

He was charged with attempted rape, burglary and resisting arrest.
