A robber remains on the loose after he made off with nearly $2,000 after knocking off a pair of banks in Queens, cops said Friday.
The first robbery occurred on Nov. 8 at the Apple Bank on Kissena Boulevard in Flushing. Police say the man handed a note to the bank teller demanding money, and made off with $639 in cash.
A similar robbery occurred at an Astoria Federal Savings Bank on Jan. 11 in Sunnyside.
As in the November bank robbery, the 6-foot-tall, 230 pound suspect handed a note to the teller demanding money and made off with more than $1100.
Cops describe the suspect as a 30-to-35 year old man, last seen wearing a dark knit hat, a dark jacket, and a hooded sweatshirt.
