Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez was seen on surveillance video dancing around and apparently high on drugs the same night he allegedly murdered his friend, a report claims.
Hernandez was caught by a gas-station security camera in a bizarre dance performance just 20 minutes before he picked up semipro football player Odin Lloyd, who was found shot dead the next day, June 18, 2013, The Daily Mail said.
The disgraced former New England Patriot was dancing in his own headlights for so long that the service station’s owner eventually turned the overhead lights off so that he would leave, the report said.
Authorities have said that Hernandez, a Pro Bowl tight end, was a heavy user of angel dust and marijuana.
Prosecutors plan to use the video as evidence in his upcoming trial, according to the report.
The grid star was charged with murder after Lloyd’s body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough, Mass.
