The Wanted boy-bander Siva Kaneswaran — he of the tall hair and square jaw — says he’s excited to pursue a solo career now that the group has announced its break.
But backstage at Thursday’s Desigual show, he says the rumor that the other band members are angry with him over focusing too much time on his girlfriend is entirely false.
“Honestly, I think that’s untrue,” he says.
“Right now I’m just having a bit of a holiday and I’m sure we’ll get back to sorting it out.”
But with a slew of tour dates left before the band can officially call it quits, isn’t it a bit . . . well, awkward?
“There’s going to have to be some discussions made,” he says. “But we’ll have to work it out some way.” Kaneswaran is focusing on what’s next, anyway. “I’m going to go into an indie sound,” he says. “I love to write, and I’m just excited to go crazy and show the fans a different side of me.”
