Another fierce winter storm could dump more than six inches on the city Thursday, accompanied by winds gusting in the 45 to 50 mph range, forecasters said.
“The worst-case scenario” is for the storm to remain all-snow, said AccuWeather meteorologist Frank Strait. “That could easily mean over a foot of snow.”
More probable, he said, was three to six inches of snow early Thursday, followed by several hours of sleet.
