Man shot near Park Slope school

A man was shot in Park Slope in front of terrified parents and school children Thursday morning, authorities and witnesses said.

The scene unfolded just after 8:30 a.m. when two men got into an argument on St. John’s Place near Sixth Avenue, according to police.

“There were kids in strollers. I’d say there were two on the block,” said a witness Tim Foster,50.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, according to witnesses.

“It’s really scary. Children are going to school and people are going to work. It’s a nice area,” Lisa Costello, 43, Gravesend, a dental assistant said.

Police said the 40 year-old victim was being uncooperative with investigators and it was unclear what sparked the violence.

The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital in stable condition and the investigation is ongoing, cops said.
