A former Marine tackled a bank robber – and gave him a lecture while he held him down until police arrived.
“I just told him it was a very stupid decision and now you get to spend 20 years of your life just for taking some money,” said Timothy Armstead.

It took some pretty creative thinking for workers in Mankato, Minn., to rescue a dog trapped in a narrow sewer drain.
The pooch was about 50 feet from the nearest entry point, so workers rigged up a camera they use to inspect drain pipes and nudged the dog out from behind.
No one knows how the 13-year-old dog named Max got into the sewer but he was happy to get out.

Andrew Hentz “mentioned he had hitchhiked,” said Clinton, Utah, Detective Matt Fawbush. “I wish I knew how he traveled that far. It’s mind-boggling.
“Nice people? A truck driver? We don’t know how he did it.”

Stephanie Martin and Ashley Messier have offered a $1,000 reward for the return of the pup, and have postponed their wedding until he’s back.

The envelopes also contained notes reading, “Please make use of this money for your self-enrichment,” and “One per person.”
