PATERSON PLAN FROM REV. ‘ALE’

The Rev. Al Sharpton yesterday weighed in on the tension between President Obama and Gov. Paterson, and even took a page out of the president’s playbook.

In the wake of a falling-out between Paterson and Obama over the governor blaming racism to explain his low popularity, Sharpton joked that he should take Paterson and The Post’s reporter out for some brews.

“I think they all should sit down and talk. Maybe I’ll take the governor and reporter for a beer,” Sharpton said.

The Post yesterday reported that Obama aide Patrick Gaspard called Paterson’s first deputy secretary, Larry Schwartz, to air the president’s frustrations over being dragged into Paterson’s rant about racism.

Paterson called into a radio talk show on Friday and blamed his low approval ratings on a racially biased media. He then said Obama would be the next “victim” of the bias.
