BUST FOR ‘ROBBING’ THEM BLIND

An ex-con posed as a blind man in a bizarre attempt to rob a group of guys in the East Village, sources said.

Dominick Lapsley, 21, was strolling with a metal walking stick at Second Avenue and St. Marks Place at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when he purposely bumped into one of the five victims, ranging in age between 21 and 29, the sources said.

Lapsley’s pal, Benjamin Pleasant, 40, suddenly stepped up and barked, “Don’t run into a blind man! Give me your wallets,” the sources said.

Pleasant allegedly put on gloves and rifled the pockets of one victim, but came up empty-handed.

The two men, along with accomplices Warren Duncan, 28, and Musa Azhar, 19, then viciously pummeled the victims, the sources said.

Police saw the attack and grabbed the thugs, charging them with attempted robbery and attempted gang assault.
