The MTA isn’t going to meet a state order mandating that it uses 20 percent renewable power at 17 of the buildings it owns or leases, according to a new audit by state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
The report also found that the MTA didn’t meet the 10 percent renewable-energy goal it should have met in 2005.
“The MTA believes it followed the right guidelines, but will review the comptroller’s findings,” a spokesman said.
