RED BULLS HIT HOUSTON

The Red Bulls upset Houston last year en route to their first MLS Cup final. Winless through three games this season to move into the Eastern Conference cellar, they’re taking tonight’s must-win game at Houston (8:30 p.m., FSC) as their playoff gut check just a month into the campaign.

“It’s a huge game for us,” coach Juan Carlos Osorio said. “Hopefully, the guys will be up for the challenge.”

The Red Bulls (0-2-1, one point) welcome Carlos Johnson and Seth Stammler to the lineup, and hope playing two holding midfielders lets Jorge Rojas get forward.
