MIKE ASKS QUICK PROBE OF CITY BIG’S LOVE LIFE

Mayor Bloomberg said yesterday he wants an expedited investigation into city Finance Commissioner Martha Stark’s relationship with a woman who used to work for her at the city agency.

Both the city Department of Investigation and Conflicts of Interest Board are looking into the matter at Bloomberg’s instruction.

“Given that Martha Stark runs an incredibly vital city agency, we’re asking the COIB and the DOI to do this work as quickly as possible, while still doing a complete job,” he said.

The comment was a sharp departure from his usual tenor of defending commissioners who are under fire.

The Post reported Sunday that Stark is dating former Finance Assistant Commissioner Dara Ottley-Brown, who now works for the city Board of Standards and Appeals.

Stark’s lawyer Randy Mastro, a frequent Bloomberg critic, said, “These allegations of a personal relationship with someone who was a subordinate of hers are demonstrably false.”
