High-tech probe into Favre pix

NFL quarterback Brett Favre could be in for a high-tech sack.

Investigators are using cutting-edge technology to pinpoint whether nude pictures sent to former Jets reporter Jenn Sterger originated from Favre’s cell phone, according to ESPN.

A cell phone, a SIM card and phone records are being scrutinized by investigators digging for digital data, ESPN reported today.

The items were part of the “substantial material” Sterger turned over to the NFL when she had a three-hour sit down with investigators Nov. 12.

The high-tech forensics could trace the electronic pathway of the photos – including an alleged picture of a penis — that were sent to Sterger, ESPN said, citing an anonymous source familiar with the situation.

Sterger, 26, was working as a freelance host and reporter for the Jets in 2008 when Favre, then the team’s quarterback, made a forward pass at her with sleazy voice mails and allegedly the X-rated photos.

Favre, 41, last month said he had admitted to NFL investigators that he left voicemails on Sterger’s phone. But he denies sending pictures of his intimate equipment.
