Hands off our models

It’s a catfight on the catwalk!

A high-powered modeling agency is suing a rival for allegedly poaching three models it had under contract.

Wilhelmina Models claims in the lawsuit, filed yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court, that Alexandra Rizzo, Nina Keita and Irene Lambers were induced to bolt for Next Model Management.

“On various dates, while the modeling agreements were in full legal force and effect, Rizzo, Keita and Lambers announced they would refuse to cooperate with Wilhelmina as required by the modeling agreements,” Wilhelmina lawyer Sandor Frankel wrote.

“Rizzo, Keita and Lambers have instead performed — and announced their intention to continue to perform — modeling service for Next.”

The models themselves are not listed as defendants.

“Next has wrongfully induced Rizzo, Keita and Lambers to breach their modeling agreements with Wilhelmina,” Frankel charged.

A Next representative did not immediately return a call for comment.
