Former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker married his long-time assistant last week, Reuters reported Tuesday.
Volcker, 82, serves as chairman of President Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. The bride is Anke Dening, who has worked for Volcker for more than 20 years. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in New York Thursday morning.
The newlyweds returned late Monday from a short honeymoon in the US Virgin Islands.
Volcker is a widower whose wife Barbara died in 1998.
