NBC News re porter Chris Hansen, who’s made a living nailing sexual deviants on his hidden-camera “To Catch a Predator” series, was secretly filmed in a romantic extramarital tryst with his Florida TV-reporter girlfriend, according to an explosive report in The National Enquirer.

Hansen, 52, the married father of two, has been carrying on with Kristyn Caddell, 30, for four months — and was recorded last Friday taking Caddell to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manalapan, Fla., for a “romantic dinner” before the couple shacked up in Caddell’s Palm Beach apartment, according to the Enquirer.

Cameras filmed the couple arriving at the hotel for dinner and then driving back to Caddell’s pad, where they didn’t emerge until 8 a.m. the next morning, when Caddell drove Hansen to the airport, according the story.

“They were both wearing different clothes from the night before . . . Kristyn’s hair was disheveled, as if she’d just rolled out of bed,” a source told the Enquirer.

Hansen has been in Florida covering the 2006 disappearance of Jimmy Trindade, a close friend of Roger and Peggy Gamblin, who were nabbed in Colorado last December on charges they stole $10 million from their company. (Roger Gamblin has since died.)

The story was reported by Hansen on last Friday’s “Dateline.”

Hansen, his wife Mary, 53, and their two young sons live in Connecticut. “Happy Father’s Day!” Hansen tweeted on June 19. “I suspect I am getting an iPad later. Fired up!”

Hansen first met Caddell back in March, when they were both out with friends at the Blue Martini Lounge in Palm Beach. “There was an immediate physical attraction between them,” a source told the Enquirer.

“Chris and Kristyn got on so well that she ended up going back to his room at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach — and she later boasted to pals about staying the night with him,” the source said.

NBC News officials had no comment yesterday.

“This is just ridiculous. It’s crap,” a source close to Hansen told The Post.

“They’ve been friends for a long time, and there’s no truth to this.

“There was no romantic dinner, and he didn’t stay with her that night.”
