US arming to ‘destroy Iran’

The United States is shipping hundreds of “bunker-buster” bombs to a military base on an Indian Ocean island in preparation for a possible attack on Iran, according to a published report.

The government signed a contract in January to send 10 ammunition containers, including 387 “Blu” bombs designed to penetrate hardened or underground targets, to Diego Garcia, Scotland’s Sunday Herald said.

“They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran,” Dan Plesch, director of the Center for International Studies and Diplomacy, at the University of London, told the newspaper.

“US bombers are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours.”

The Pentagon did not comment on the report.
